Nevada Fish Reports

With water temps dropping the big fish have moved into the shoreline, which is a bit earlier than usual. Shore fishing should be good until the temps hit the low 40’s. Get out there!

Coming into this next week air temps are going to continue dropping and the water temp will slowly follow. The fall hatches will be plentiful, trout will be more active throughout the whole day. Not too bad you guys, a little on the smaller of fish today but still very nice, 6 out of 7 keeping a few for dinner.

Go to shorline that has a big drop off. Stripping flies with fast sinking lines has still been the best fishing.The indicator fishing with leeches has been picking up.Fishing around 12-14 feet under the indicator has been working well. Up on Lake Mohave the striper bite is doing ok with some anglers bringing in a few in the 4 to 8 pound range. This size is also being found her along the river below the Davis Dam. The Casino area has been one of the better spots. Now that our rainbow trout plant has started back up the trout fishing should be going well.

This time of year we can get some of our larger fish here along the Colorado river. Our local angler Kenan Guleryuz landed this striper while fishing from shore in the Rotary park area. He was throwing one of his favorite lures and landed this striper which weighed in at 24.26 pounds and was 42 and 3/4 inches. Kenan later told me there was nothing

Grand slam of four species yesterday. Kept few for dinner. Released a bunch. Took today off with the big east winds!

The ranch has also been fishing very well, most of the bugs listed above have been doing well and they’re still eating some rubberlegs and other stonefly patterns down there too. Reservations have been solid on the weekends but there’s been availability on the weekdays if you want to book some time down there.
