Water temperatures are sitting at 68F and the reservoir itself is sitting at ~45% of capacity. Rainbow Trout are fairly active right now with several Brown Trout being caught based on angler dropbox surveys. Numerous trout can be seen rising from the shoreline. The reservoir has received its full allotment of 5,584 Rainbow Trout through spring stocking, averaging 8.9 inches. Anglers can expect to catch 9-to-12-inch Rainbow Trout and the occasional Brown Trout. Anglers will do well on Rainbow Trout with nightcrawlers, PowerBait (yellow, orange and red) as well as spinners. Warm water temperatures are hard on trout, please consider fishing early in the morning and late in the evenings when surface temperatures are down to prevent angling related fish mortalities.
