Pyramid is Fishing Pretty Good For Late October

The lake is fishing pretty good for late October. Usually there is a lull in the fishing after the first couple weeks of the season until the water cools in mid November. Everything seems to be happening early this fall. The shore fishing is already picking up and should be good until we start to see the water really cool down sometime in mid December.

The Truckee is fishing fantastic, Especially the Nevada side. There are plenty of bugs in the system right now including Blue Wing Olives or Baetis and Sedge Caddis. C& R Tagged Cutthroat From Lake Tahoe

Aaron was fishing from the North Shore on Lake Tahoe the other morning and landed this tagged Cutthroat. It was 18.5 inches and around 1.5-2 pounds. The fish was released safely back into the water.

Morning Fishing From Shore Has Been Productive

First Cutthroat Caught on Tahoe Since 1900's

Monday update: One of the first cutthroat was caught today since the 1900’s! #shutupandfish Over fishing of the Lahontan Cutthroat led to the ultimate demise of the population in the late 1800’s.
