This past week saw a few tough days on the river as the cold water spurred the fish to seek new feeding lanes. We found ourselves working a little harder than usual to find the fish. The last storm dropped the surface temps clearing out the bait balls to deeper water. Reports have been slow from shore, with boaters and float tubers having better luck. The lake is in a transition phase right now, shore fishing will improve once more winter storms roll in and water temps drop below 55°. Crossing our fingers for more bad weather!

Fly fishing at Pyramid Lake has improved following a seasonal turnover. With the cooler weather we received in early October, the surface of Pyramid Lake cooled off.
