Flows on the Truckee River have held steady around 430 cfs through the Reno gauge. Recent storms have caused bumps in the flow, but overall the river has been in great shape. The river is still fishing well and it’s no surprise

What more can we say, the river is still fishing well and it’s no surprise. There has been little-to-no change in the flows this week and the upper river along town remains low at 125 CFS near Glenshire Bridge. However, with big releases coming out of Boca and cold water flowing in from the creeks downstream, the gauge at Farad continues to read 600 CFS.

Bait fisherman using salmon eggs and baby crawlers under bobbers are catching fish all day. Fly fisherman slowly retrieving peacock bodied nymphs will find fish just about any time. Trout fishing will continue to be good until water temperatures really climb.
