Western Nevada Fish Reports

Very little change here as flows on the South Fork of the Humboldt are very low and fishing is difficult due to low flows and ice formation. Flows are better below the reservoir and fishing is slow to fair. As of December 2, the South Fork of the Humboldt was flowing at approximately 5.24 cfs above the reservoir and 8.1 cfs below the reservoir.

The lake has come up a little. The Douglas County ramp is open. They have three docks now on the ramp. Right now the center one is in use. The two others will be in use when the water level comes up. Bobby at Pyramid this weekend caught these 3 beauties today. They came in at 12lbs 11.5lbs and 10.5bs.

Following the storm system in early November, fly fishing at Pyramid Lake has improved greatly with shore fishing becoming the method of choice for a majority of anglers. As water temperatures have decreased, fish have moved into shallower water and are now targetable from the shoreline. Lahontan Cutthroat Trout feed in slightly deeper water adjacent to the shoreline, so look for depth changes that occur
