Illipah Reservoir is ice covered. As of 12/28/23, ice measured 3 to 5 inches in the areas sampled in the reservoir.  The middle of the reservoir has the thickest ice while the south end has the thinnest. The ice throughout is poor quality and anglers should use caution while ice fishing.  Always be prepared with safety equipment like ice cleats, picks and a long rope.

Most algae has cleared with a few pockets still dissipating along the shorelines. Anglers are having success catching trout from shore or from a boat, with fish over 18 inches and 2-3 pounds on average.

Cold Creek Reservoir is still at  80% of capacity. Water temperatures are 420F. Anglers can expect to catch 8-to-10-inch rainbow trout and tiger trout.  With cooler water temperatures, largemouth bass catch rates have begun to slow down.  Although harvest is still allowed, anglers are encouraged to catch and release bass caught until their population is well established in the lake.
