Lake Mohave Fishing Report

by ARIZONA GAME & FISH DEPARTMENT
Striped bass anglers are reporting success when trolling swimbaits, jigs, and when fishing with anchovies. Sticking to shad imitations for your swimbaits would be a good place to start if trolling. Largemouth bass should be up shallow in the coves during the early morning hours and at night. Finesse presentations while the bass are up shallow in cover may be a good starting point. Smallmouth

The larger striper weighed in at 8.74 pounds and stretched just over 30 inches. The basin is active with boils of shad and stripers chasing them. Below Davis Dam, we’re

Great catch of stripers from Lake Mohave

by RUSTY
Here is a great catch of stripers from Lake Mohave. Our local angler, Kanan Guleryuz, landed these fish using a white soft paddle tail. His future wife, Breannah Patten, gave him a hand with the fish they brought in. They make a great couple—and it was a nice catch. I'm hearing that chasing the boils near the basin is working well. It’s also a great way

Stripers are biting on Lake Mohave

by RUSTY
We’re hoping for some rainbow trout soon, but in the meantime it’s all about the stripers up on Lake Mohave. Trolling, casting, or using anchovies for bait fishing is all producing fish. Our local angler Dirk Sloan and his wife Jane went out for a boat ride on the lake. They had their visiting daughter Amy and grandma Joan Ransberger on board. Dirk decided to try

These fish were brought in from the Willow Beach Hatchery for our fishing clinic, giving local youth a chance to catch their very first fish. Also attached is a QR code for “Fish with a First Responder,” where you can see pictures from the
