Happy New Year !! We made just before the next storm was coming in. That was some good fishing guys,, cold, but good Enjoy the feast's hope to see you again

It’s been a bit slow so I had to go out and catch a couple of fish. I got a Largemouth Bass in one hand and a Redear in the other. These are best found in our back waters like the Laughlin Bay area. I like using a z-mans ned rig in the peanut butter and jelly color (pp&j). The striper bite is doing ok in the Community Park area and we just got a stocking at Rotary Park of Rainbow Trout.With anglers doing well using power bait and night crawlers. I did get a report

The New Year brings a fresh opportunity to experience Pyramid Lake As we spring into the New year with tremendous amounts of rain and snow the lake levels begin to rise and the fish start sliding into a more "normal", feeding schedule.  We have been catching a lot more summits than normal for this time of year and they are fired up and ready to party! 

I’d say we’re doing pretty good snow wise now. That last storm was no joke. The Truckee River could have hit flood stage, if on Saturday, the rain hadn’t turned to snow. Then we got about 2 feet after about 5 inches of rain. River rose up to about 4000k here in Hirschdale, and now is back down to around 800 cfs. We have great fishy

No recent reports, but expect 4WD conditions to get here. Water conditions here are generally similar to South Fork so there may be some open water for fishing. However, that may not be the case and even if it is, it won’t be long before it does freeze over. At last report, early November, fishing was good here but the lake level was still low.

This time of year brings out some of our larger fish, which is what Mike Jones found out. He landed this nice size striper while fishing from shore in the Rotary Park area. He was using an ac plug to land this beast. I have heard that the Community Park area is also a great spot with a few of these stripers being brought in. Also

 There have been reports of a few stripers and some smallmouth bass also being caught there as well. Anglers have been reporting success with glide baits for stripers and various plastics for smallmouth bass.

ICE UPDATE!...along with a sunrise and some wildlife, too, of course. The lake is completely frozen, with an average of 7" of ice along the southwest shore. Ice thins significantly from the middle of the lake, heading toward the dam, and ACCESS IS NOT ADVISED in that area. Some great lake news from up on Lake Mohave. the shad are schooling and the stripers are feeding on them. Our local angler Raul Gonzalez landed this 33 and 1/4 inch striper that weighed in at 12.42 pounds. He was fishing from shore near the dam and throwing his favorite swim bait to land this nice size trophy fish. I also have been hearing that

Lake Conditions No denying that winter is here, and it’s cold embrace has transformed Pyramid Lake into a winter wonderland. This doesn’t mean things slow down for the Cutthroats though, they have stayed on the chew and we have been eagerly tracking ‘em down and getting them into the net. Temps: 38-43* Fish have been in Close with the cold weather. Fishing has been best with stormy days or windy days! Fishing in 10ft of water or less. Good Afternoon from Willow Beach National Fish Hatchery! This Monday we stocked around 2,400 rainbow trout for the Fort Yuma Quechan Indian Tribes at Sunrise Park.   This morning we stocked around 1,000 rainbow trout at Rotary Park in Bullhead City. Happy Fishing!

Wild Horse Reservoir is 100% covered with ice. As of December 19, Wild Horse State Recreation Area reported a minimum of 7″ of ice based on surveys taken at various locations off of the boat ramp.
