Very little change here as flows on the South Fork of the Humboldt are very low and fishing is difficult except in the pools. Flows have increased a bit. Flows are better below the reservoir and fishing is fair there. As of November 4, the South Fork of the Humboldt was flowing at approximately 3.16 cfs above the reservoir and 8.36 cfs below the reservoir.

As of November 4, the Bruneau River was flowing at a low 7.7 cfs

On Thursday the surface water temperature at the boat ramp was 45 degrees and the suspended algae is mostly gone. However, waves caused by the wind had stirred up the bottom and there were plumes of suspended mud in the water on the northeast side of the lake. Fishing the edges of these plumes with chironomids is an excellent tactic. Bass fishing has been slow.

As of November 4, Kingston Creek was flowing at 2.1 cfs

Kingston Creek is flowing well below normal and fishing is difficult except in the pools and on springheads though the pools will soon have some ice on them. As of November 4, Kingston Creek was flowing at 2.1 cfs which is about a third of normal.

Water levels are coming up nicely this fall and water temperatures are sitting in the low to mid-40s. Anglers can expect catch 8-to-10-inch Rainbow Trout and there is the potential to catch similar sized Tiger Trout. Anglers will catch the occasional Largemouth Bass however they are heading into their least active time of year so a fishing trip shouldn’t be planned to just target Largemouth
