Rainbow Action Has Been Good

by RUSTY
With the rainbow trout stocking back in full swing anglers of all ages are catching fish. The Willow Beach Hatchery just did a trout plant at Rotary Park and I have been hearing of some great fish catches. Spinners were working well the first day and power bait and night crawlers are bring in limits. A reminder the limit for trout here along the Colorado

Striper Action Remains Steady

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Striper action remains steady for boaters using shad and light-colored swim baits. Shore anglers are most successful in the evening using anchovies in the coves. Rainbow trout stocking continues each week at Willow Beach. Anglers are having the most success with PowerBait or worms.

Seasonal Trout Plants Have Begun

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Seasonal trout plants have begun. The Nevada Department of Wildlife will stock rainbow trout again this week at Floyd Lamb, Sunset, and Veteran’s Memorial Park ponds. The action for stocked rainbows has been very good for those using bright-colored garlic PowerBait and night crawler pieces. Anglers are catching bass and catfish at Floyd Lamb and Sunset parks on warm afternoons.

Striper Bite Has Been Best at Sunrise

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
The striper bite is best at sunrise when they are feeding on shad.  Imitation shad and minnow swimbaits work well during this time, though live shad are generally the most productive bait. Anglers are still catching catfish, some as large as 6 pounds, on anchovies in the Hemenway Harbor area.  With cloudy days and chances of rain in the forecast, expect some variations in fishing

Pyramid Lake Fishing Report

by RENO FLY SHOP
Pyramid Lake  Pyramid lake has still been a little hit and miss as far as fishing goes. We really need a good storm and some colder weather to break up the monotony of blue skies and little wind. Otherwise fishing deeper beaches with sinking line and dark flies has been working well at the changes of light (dawn and dusk). On the days where the weather

Truckee River Fishing Report

by RENO FLY SHOP
Truckee River  The Truckee River flows have dropped since our last report. We are currently below seasonal averages at 275 CFS at the downtown gauge. The fish we are finding are very happy and healthy, but the lower water can make fishing a little more challenging so take your time when approaching the water. The drop in flow has the water crystal clear and cold. Mid
