Hey all!! Thank you all for your response on the entry fee poll! With that I hoped everyone would think I was up to something and I have been. ATTENTION PIKE-OUT PARTICIPANTS:

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
ATTENTION PIKE-OUT PARTICIPANTS: We have been closely watching the weather and have made the decision to cancel the 2025 Save Comins Lake Pike-Out scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd. High winds from the south and isolated thunderstorms are forecasted for Ely on Saturday. This will make for extremely challenging and potentially dangerous boating conditions. Safety is our number one priority, and the forecasted conditions do not meet our

Riviera Marina Fishing Report

by RUSTY
Here are a few stripers we caught a while back. This is about the size that should be running now—but they’re not. The striper bite has slowed down on Lake Mohave, and anglers are mostly just driving around looking for fish. The largemouth bass are in spawning mode—either on the nest or guarding fry (baby fish). While striped bass are being spotted, they’re not showing much

Typical Spring weather on the Truckee River

by MATT KOLES
Typical Spring weather on the Truckee River.  70's one week, 30's another. Looks to wam up this week, but another cold front next weekend.  Flows are up, but really not that high. 650 or so here in Hirschdale, and about 800 cfs out East on the lower Truckee River in Nevada. That's nothing. Clarity is rather good.  Still, fish the edges. Do not fish the middle stuff. Trouts

by KENS SPORTING GOODS STAFF
The ranch fished very well again this week with most of the anglers reporting in doing very well. Lots of nice fish in the 14 to 18 inch range with a few taping over 20 for most anglers. The streamer action has been good early in the day with the nymph action picking up as the day goes on. Most of the same patterns that are

The bite at Pyramid is in a bit of a limbo right now

by TROUT CREEK OUTFITTERS
The bite at Pyramid is in a bit of a limbo right now. With the majority of the fish focused on spawning they are mostly lock-jawed, at least the ones you can see. Fishing with indicators and putting it past the fish tight to the shore will better your odds by putting your flies in front of fish that may still be interested in eating.

We are seeing flows drop on the Truckee River and the snow is on the hill for just a bit longer

by TROUT CREEK OUTFITTERS
With cooler days last week the runoff has slowed. We are seeing flows drop on the Truckee River and the snow is on the hill for just a bit longer. Around Glenshire we have seen flows drop from 750 to 575 CFS in the last 7 days. At Farad they have dropped from 900 to 700 CFS. These flows will make the river easier to

Fishing has been good at Mitch Pond

by NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE
Fishing has been good at Mitch Pond. It should stay good with more stocking this spring and the warmer weather. Crawlers off the bottom will produce both catfish and trout. Salmon eggs under a bobber can also be good at Mitch. Fly fisherman using small nymphs under an indicator or slowly retrieved has been good for the stockers.
