Harrison Pass is open. Rainbow trout were stocked late March in the collection ditch, Unit 21 and South Lakes. Tiger trout were also stocked in Unit 21. The reservoir is fully open water and the boat ramp at the State Park is back in the water. Water temps are sitting in the low 50s. Over 37,000 rainbow trout averaging 9″ have been stocked this spring. Trout fishing is good, with most catches measuring 12″-18″ and several over 20″. With the recent snow/rain the worm and baetis combo has been putting in work

Fishing may have slowed overall on the river, but we are still having some good days as of late. With the recent snow/rain the worm and baetis combo has been putting in work. There are also plenty of March Browns around as well, and nymphing some size 12-14 brown mayfly patterns such as pheasant tails, Picky eaters or Hogan’s clingers have been working well too.

Even up on Lake Mohave, anchovies have proven to be highly effective, catching more fish than any other bait. Mackinaw fishing has picked up, with action throughout the morning in 50 to 100 feet of water. Anglers have been trolling flashers and a live minnow on the northwest side of the lake.
