The conditions have changed quickly here on the Truckee as the releases out of the reservoirs taper off and we see flows settle into their average range. In Glenshire, we are looking at 375 CFS this week, which is near perfect for this section of river, especially as water temps rise and the fish nose up into pocket water, of which there is an abundance

The Truckee was affected very little by this week’s weather in terms of increased flows. In fact, the flows out of Boca Reservoir dropped this week, bringing the Farad gauge down from 1,200 CFS, to around 800. We’re fortunate to have a great fishery here along the shores of the Colorado River. Anglers are enjoying excellent success both from shore and by boat, especially when targeting striped bass.
