Vegetation is limiting shoreline fishing opportunity on the south end of the reservoir, however, fishing off the dam, west, and northern shorelines should produce trout and largemouth bass. Several 12-to-14-inch rainbow trout have been caught recently on spinners. PowerBait, night crawlers, and a variety of dry and wet flies should produce trout.

One of our local anglers stopped by for some prop work and shared this great catch he landed near the Needles Bridge. Ronnie Charlton was fishing from shore using anchovies and hooked into a nice group of stripers. We’re seeing similar-sized

Things on the river are great right now

by TROUT CREEK OUTFITTERS
Things on the river are great right now. We saw a good recharge of water, and now flows are quickly settling back down to prime fishing conditions. Flows are right at average for this time of year, we’d call them high, but very much fishable. Hatches of baetis have been consistent and the green drakes are around enough to be able to use the emergers

Way more mellow above
