Western Nevada Fish Reports

Flows are good throughout the open section. Glenshire is a good stretch. Recent snow hinders some access but it is predicted to be gone by the weekend. Fishing has been steady, but not spectacular. Small nymphs or midges are the ticket. There is little to zero surface activity. (530) 587-4844

The bugs are out, East of Reno that is. Big fat 'bows, solid sz#16's, and lots of them. I haven't seen any fish on top, but that will change here shortly. Nymphing is still the way to go. Stream flows on the Truckee have been very consistent. Lack of snow has limited any run-off on warm days. The weather or lack thereof over the past month or so has put Pyramid to sleep. The surface water temperature is down to around 44 degrees and there are some huge thermo-clines of warmer more oxygenated water 30 feet to 80 feet down.
